The Company

Recruiting for a leader in Melbourne's construction industry, Robert Half Technology seeks an experienced Level 2 Service Desk Technician. Located in the CBD with projects spanning the Melbourne Metro area, there will be chances for technical growth within this close-knit team. This construction company organization expects a strong commitment to work but also has generous programs for staff including gym membership and regular social events.

 

The Role

A strong focus on customer service and "soft skills" is necessary to successfully resolve Level 2 issues across a diverse range of locations and team members. The Service Desk Technician is the first point of contact for staff to receive support and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure, including phone systems, apps, rollouts, AD and Audio-Visual equipment. This includes but is not limited to installing, diagnosing, maintaining and upgrading desktop hardware, phones, and ICT peripherals to ensure optimal workstation performance.

Working as part of the IT Services Team there will be a need to respond to issues in person, by phone or through remote access. A range of tasks that relate to the administration and settings of production systems, including Exchange, Mobile Device Management, email archiving and Group Policies with all need to be addressed. There is a chance for on-going work and project work for the right candidate.

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • 2 year's experience as a Level 2 Service Desk Technician
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • ITIL Foundation Cert
  • O365
  • Roll-outs to desktop and thin clients
  • Exchange
  • AD
  • LAN, WAN, VLAN
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Remote Access
  • Some basic experience configuring routers and switches
  • A devotion to IT
