Consultant Task – IBM z/OS Contractor Developer, Remote

For a customer, we are seeking an experienced IBM z/OS Contractor Developer with proficiency in REXX for an assignment.

The customer are seeking someone that will be responsible for reconfiguring, debugging, and rewriting a mainframe RACF connector. While RACF experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate should preferably have their own test environment, although this is not a deal-breaker.

Key Responsibilities:

• RACF Connector Management: Adjust install scripts as necessary and become familiar with the installation process. Create comprehensive runbooks to supplement the installation guide.
• Customer Support: Assist in the customer installation process for 1-2 mainframe sandboxes. This includes working alongside the customer's mainframe consultant and understanding their zOS sandbox.
• Scripting for SOAP Calls: Develop scripts to facilitate SOAP calls for specific use cases such as checking user activity on RACF, on-demand password resetting via web services, and unlocking accounts on-demand.
• UAT Support: Play a crucial role in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for our Password Management software, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Documentation and Guide Creation: Develop clear and detailed installation guides and processes.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with as many of the following competencies:
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in IBM z/OS environment and proficiency in REXX scripting.

- RACF Knowledge: Understanding of RACF is desirable.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

- Communication: Excellent communication skills to support customer installations and coordinate with various teams.

- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating technical documentation and installation guides.
