Resumé
Main focus always to secure delivery. Whatever task, role, issue that needs to be fulfilled and solved I will do that to keep momentum of the project. During my career I have filled out more of less any role in an IT-project with the exception of developer, architect and business SME. The value of taken multiple roles as the same person gives both more insight and overall control of the project but also secures less knowledge transfer, which leads to less staffing and thereby less funding needed.
Over the last 10 years as freelance consultant my tasks have often begun with being assigned the role of test manager. But to succeed with a test you need to succeed with the project: Specifications (requirements, user stories, documentation), communication, processes e.g. change management and agile frameworks, version control, deployments, environments and overall project management tasks. I often end up supporting all this, since this is a prerequisite for a well-executed test.
