Daniel is an experienced product manager with a background in UX,
and has a total of 20 years of experience in many different useroriented
platforms. He designed his first mobile touch interface in
2003 and has since worked on everything from mobile and
integrated displays to desktop and VR.
As a product manager, Daniel always focuses on the value that the
product creates for customers and users. Through long-term goals,
that are broken down together with the team into reachable and
measurable work packages, he creates a transparent and agile way
forward for the team and the product. Daniel believes in the team's
potential and demonstrates this by supporting and coaching the
team in its development, and involving the team in the
understanding of the product and its goals and development.
As a person, Daniel is social and open, and care a lot about everyone

The XR Algo, SW and QA teams integrated and customized eyetracking for all OEMs who turned to Tobii to have eye-tracking integrated into their XR headsets. (XR = VR Virtual Reality & AR Augmented Reality & MR Mixed Reality) The teams were also responsible for the quality of the integrations towards the OEMs.
Daniel coordinated and led the work that allowed all the teams to agree on the common goal and delivery dates for the integrations.

Since eye-tracking is a relatively new technology, not all use cases for the technology have been found yet. The purpose of this group was to explore where eye-tracking could create value, starting from the user's point of view. Examples of areas explored were controlling mobile phones with the eyes, social interaction (users could communicate more interactively digitally), computer security (easier to prevent unauthorized people from accessing sensitive data, by e.g. looking over the shoulder), energy saving (turning off the screen when the user is not looking at it) etc. The findings from the group resulted in both patents and references for future development projects.

Tobii sold both its own eye-trackers as well as integrated eyetracking in laptops (Dell/Acer/ASUS) and computer monitors (MSI/Acer). With these products came the software Tobii Experience that Daniel led the development of. That meant matching schedules and resources with the orders coming from the big OEMs (Dell/Acer/ASUS etc), as well as delivering not only what the OEMs wanted but also ensuring a good user experience for the OEMs' customers, the end consumers. Daniel ensured that those who bought these laptops and computer monitors really got the desired experience.
