IMS Enterprise Configurator (abbreviated EC)
EC is as computer configuration/deployment application, developed to overcome the limitations of commercially available deployment solutions and support InterLANs service delivery.
EC conducts among other tasks the following:
Software deployment / decommissioning
Registry patching / editing
ODBC creation / editing
Local security configuration on client computers
Inventory: Software, Patches, Hardware, Local printers, Missing drivers
User profile auto configuration: Outlook, Printers, Drives
EC is property based. I. E. Administrator-defined rules/policies use physical and configurational properties to determine whether the given configuration change apply. These properties include, but are not limited to, location, patch level, installed software, state of hardware and information from the AD-object.

Role: System developer, tester, implementation responsible
Description/task: Application development and maintenance
Objective: Facilitate automated distribution of template based Outlook Signatures that follows customer design guidelines while maintaining individual information stored in the Active Directory user object.
Contribution/Outcome:
IMS AutoSignature for Outlook (abbreviated ASO)
ASO is an extension to IMS Enterprise Configurator, which allows for automated provisioning of standardized MS Outlook signatures, filled in with individual information collected from Active Directory. Any information from AD can be used for an unlimited number of signatures

Contribution/Outcome:
Driver injection program, written to overcome a crucial shortcoming of the pre 2008 editions of Windows Deployment Services/Remote Installation Service. The program injects drivers into the native Windows XP image (as found on the CD) without altering the image in any other way. Thus avoiding the pitfalls and time consumption of image capturing.

Through the ownership of a company in the IT service provision industry, Terje have gained experience with all skills required to run a business, including management, ERP, HR, sales and marketing.
In the role of technician, IT-consultant, team lead, service delivery manager, project manager, Terje have dealt with a wide range of subjects in IT operations and service provision. These subjects include infrastructure architecture, deployment, tender writing, contract writing, service design, service delivery as well as technical work, primarily in Windows Server environments.
Having worked with organizations of all sizes (from a few employees to a few hundred thousand), Terje finds it particularly important to adapt to the organisation. A successful project relies, among many other things, on a profound understanding of goals, strategies, corporate culture, resources, etc., and notably on good communication.
OS and software deployment is an area of particular interest to Terje. He authored the deployment/configuration application IMS Enterprise Configurator. By undertaking both development and implementation, in-depth insight into deployment has been gained. Terje lead deployment projects at Svitzer and Fritz Schur.
