Linux/Open Source system administrator and senior Java/J2EE backend developer
with a keen focus on development and operations (DevOps) of advanced
administrative systems, decision support systems, and expert systems - including
strong related competences in system analysis, system test and system
architecture.
During the later years the consultant have been focusing on managing and
provisioning Linux servers for a variety of applications, mainly based on java
technologies, using the Infrastructure as code (IaC) paradigm with Puppet and
Ansible declarative programming. During this time the consultant have introduced
IaC solutions both from scratch and have been improving already existing solutions,
hence providing the consultant with a solid fundament for managing the technical
side of both small-scale and large-scale projects. Combining this with a solid
background as a J2EE backend developer this consultant have both knowledge,
experience and a well-proven track record for projects involving both server- and
service automation that customers can benefit from hiring.
To support the IaC paradigm the consultant relies on his 10+ years of experience
with Linux and OpenSource projects, and the consultant have worked with major
proven technologies including:
• Github/Gitlab/Bitbucket for source code revisioning
• Jenkins/TeamCity for continous integration, release, and delivery
• HyperV/VMware/VirtualBox for hypervisor virtualization
• Nexus/Artifactory/Archiva/Apt for component repositories
• Maven/Ivy for managing component dependencies
• Maven/Ant for managing the building and release process
• Nagios/Munin for server monitoring and trending
• ServiceMix/ActiveMQ for Camel massage routing
