You have before you an experienced Database Developer and architect. I have an extensive knowledge about Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database, which I have spoken about at conferences.
I am an active user of Stack Overflow, where my current score places me in the top 3% worldwide. I participate in the development of a popular Open-Source tool called "sp_blitz", where I have programmed the conversion to Azure SQL Database. I do this because I am motivated by helping others.
The SQL Server is often the most expensive software (7000$ per core) in the company, and I help with maximising the outcome of this investment, by identifying the worst performing code and suggesting alternative methods.
I have seen many different databases, and I am able to suggest solutions, which provides the company the necessary information with a sufficient accuracy and minimal latency.
There are very many components in Azure, and they are not all mature and well tested.
I have worked full time for 2 years on Azure SQL Database and Azure Analysis Services (SSAS), so I can help you build things that work.

I took responsibility for an older SQL Server 2008 server, fixed a lot of inconveniences, and moved it to a Microsoft Azure SQL Database. I also developed their Power BI system and the associated Azure Analysis Services (tabular) cube.
Result: InsuBiz is now able to show their customers that they have a safe and modern platform with a high up-time, good performance.
2017-08 - 2018-11
I was responsible for several older SQL Servers, and had them upgraded to SQL Server 2017, where I arranged a good procurement agreement with Microsoft. I developed a new database for collecting measurement data from the company's IOT machinery, e.g., salmon filleting.
Result: After a few months, the SQL Server was no longer blamed for all incidents, and the company had a very nice saving on the purchase of SQL Server licenses.
2005-04 - 2017-08
I took part in the development of a 70 TB Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence system on this data, with master data from SAP, Infor XA, and other internal systems. We used a framework that Vestas bought from Platon, including source code, and we enhanced it quite a bit. We used BIML from Varigence for the Extract part of ETL, and C# and T-SQL for the Transform part.
I have worked with SSIS since 2005 where it became generally available. Initially in VB but in C# after 2012. I was beta tester on the FileTable feature, and External Tables, as I strive to build the best possible data structure for the users' requirements, often with inspiration from Ralph Kimball. I am an early adopter of new technology, if I can see benefits for the customer.
Result: Vestas can predict when turbines fail, so they can be repaired in the right order, and they can identify any systematic errors in their turbines.

I programmed DataFlex 3.1 applications on AIX; a "pantebrevssystem" and a debt collection system with interface to a document scanning system on MS SQL Server.
result: DAI got security in many "andelsboliger". The system had an improved performance, so it was possible for DAI to employ another 50 consultants.
