Resumé
I am a highly motivated individual with an eye for detail and will always take advantage of opportunities to learn new tools and technologies. To keep up to date with the latest trends I have been a regular at a number of meetups and have attended a variety of conferences on Cloud Platforms, Dev(Sec)Ops, SRE and IaC including AWS Re:Invent 2018 and a number of AWS and Azure Summits. I have also been part of mentorship programs since mid-2020 where I have been mentoring budding DevOps engineers in South Africa and also at the University of London.
I have an excellent track record of achieving great results in my work. I am comfortable across a number of areas including architecting, building, securing and maintaining platforms and also supporting development teams. I have functioned both as a platform/cloud engineer and as an integrated DevOps engineer within a development team. I have experience in cloud migrations as well as using virtualisation technologies both on-prem, private cloud and also using AWS and Azure.
