Job Summary:
Our client in Elk Grove Village, IL is looking to add another member to their team to support in a break/fix support environment. The current project is to learn the team's roles and responsibilities to be able to act as the back-up while other initiatives are undertaken. This role will involve a hardware inventory project right away with more technical responsibilities as you are trained.


Responsibilities:

  • Team will consist of 1 Network Admin and this role will report directly to the VP of IT
  • Use remote monitoring & support software to support local team and 1 remote office
  • Troubleshoot any problem to identify the root cause while communicating the problem identified verbally to assist the end user. Create notes that are clear and concise while explaining these technical issues to the non-technical users.
  • This role may be involved with recent software upgrades managed by the Network Admin
  • As the point of contact to the customer, you will ensure the user is communicated to often and they know what is happening.
  • Special projects will be required in addition to normal activities.

 

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience level: Entry Level
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Education: High School

 

Skills:

  • Desktop Support (2 years of experience is required)
  • Active directory (2 years of experience is required)
  • Exchange (1 year of experience is required)
  • Office 365 (1 year of experience is required)
  • Windows 10 (1 year of experience is required)
