Infrastructure Engineer

The Role

The candidate shall possess recent and relevant experience with Active Directory at the Tier III level and utilize their knowledge of the Windows Server Operating System and applications that are supported by Active Directory to provide Enterprise AD support. The enterprise network is in support of a 4000-user environment across multiple Active Directory forests and locations. The candidate will be expected to use their experience with Active Directory. The environment is also VMware based and requires the candidate to use their knowledge with virtualized environments.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Own, operate and drive Active Directory operations for the company.
• Serve as the Domain Administrator for the Microsoft Active Directory forest/domain.
• Support Windows Server 2012R2/2019 and Windows 10 in a multi-domain Active Directory environment.
• Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize IT systems.
• Troubleshoot Windows Server Performance issues using various performance and monitoring tools.
• Refine the inner workings of the existing Active directory system in preparation for a planned large expansion.
• Administering all servers both on-premise in a VMware environment and in the public cloud throughout the complete server lifecycle.

Your Profile

You should have an advanced knowledge of core Microsoft technologies. These include but not limited to Active Directory Domain Services, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, VMware, and PowerShell scripting.

Additionally, you will need:

• 5+ years of Active Directory experience that includes designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise level Active Directory solutions.
• Strong Technical proficiency in Group Policy Object (GPO) management, Domains, Trusts, Sites, and Services.
• Advanced detailed knowledge in AD architecture and infrastructure.
• Very strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Have a solid understanding of the Installation, configuration and maintenance of an enterprise VMWare environment.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships and garner influence with other functions.
• Experience in scripting automated solutions using PowerShell.
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
• Self-starter and self-motivated a must.
• Experience with Exchange on-prem and cloud configuration and deployment a plus!
