Hardware Technician - Chicago, IL

A Hardware Technician is needed for an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products in the Chicago, IL area. This position will test, support, and develop test plans for RF validation. 

 

Responsibilities for the Hardware Technician

• Maintain and run 3gpp tests on RF pre-conformance rack. Support design team by running RF validation bench tests (both manual and automated).
• Compile comprehensive and presentable documentation of experiment conditions and results. Analyze data against 3GPP and carrier RF specifications.
• Assist in third party submissions by performing RF calibration. Flash software builds, take logs, file internal/external bugs, get resolutions. Modify already existing software test tool code and extend them for specific purposes.

Requirements for the Hardware Technician

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience preferably using RF equipment such as pectrum analyzers and communication test boxes.
• Knowledge of test automation using scripting languages like Python is preferred but not required. Experience running tests on TS8980 or equivalent pre-conformance system.
