Consultant Task – Senior Data Engineer (AWS or Azure), Capital Region

For a major client in the financial sector, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

The client is looking to implement a new cloud data platform from scratch on either AWS or Azure and initiates the project by doing a Proof-of-concept (POC).

To assist with the POC the client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Analytical Engineer with a high degree of experience in implementing data warehouses, ELT processes and design patterns. Additionally, experience with implementation of CDC history and modelled data within a data platform is expected.

Technologies in the POC:
- AWS or Azure
- Snowflake
- DBT
- Data Lake / BLOB Storage Containers
- PowerBI
- Ingest Tools (e.g. Fivetran, HVR, Stitch, etc).

The consultant will be a part of the clients existing development team in the Data & Analytics department. One of the success criteria’s of the POC is that the client can make a decision on Cloud Platform afterwards, either AWS or Azure.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with as many of the following competencies:

- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as Data Engineer 
- Extensive experience and domain knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Solid experience with implementing Data Warehouses, ELT Processes and Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and DBT is highly preferred
