Development of an embedded monitoring system for large battery based energy storage solutions.

 

The solution is based on a Cortex-M0 MCU, which handles 48 different measurements on ADC values through an optical isolated barrier. It will control a fan through PWM signal with temperature measurement.

 

It will report all monitored values (voltage, temperature, pressure, current and status) through a CAN interface with a protocol based on the CANOpen standard.

Employee #3 was System Architect for the development of HiL based testing for a HiL test system for a front looking camera in Japan and Sweden.

The project produced a limited test product for traffic sign recognition HiL station, which was based on XLINIX ZU3+ FPGA and streamed collected video and CAN data back to the FLC to be able to test functions.

Also the project developed a specialized high perfomance HIL Player software to replay all video and CAN data for complete HiL testing of the camera, this needed to stream more then 5Gb/s data over ethernet to HiL hardware developed in Japan.

Syntronic have developed a care management system called Accent. Accent is a kind of system used internally at service houses and elderly care homes.

 

The development of Accent started in 2006 and was commercially launched in the beginning of 2008. Employee #3 was the responsible system architect of the system design. Syntronic have continued to develop the system and today Employee #3 has the sole responsibility of all further development and maintenance of the system.

 

Syntronic have designed and produced the hardware as well as software to Accent. Techniques used are mainly Linux and C/C++ but also web-development with PHP and Javascript.

Employee #3 was an embedded developer in a project that developed a stirling engine power generator, that was powered by either solar power or wooden pellets. The product was based on a NXP M4. Techniques used were FreeRTOS and C.

In the assignment a file system driver where developed for a SPI based NOR-flash memory, drivers to the programming of a FPGA-flash memory, drivers to messaging based serial communication with XC167 CPU and driver to control of ADC, watch dog, reset and temperature sensors.

2008 - 2010 Employee #3 was development- and support responsible for a power management system and a phase angle measurement system in the electrical grid of the national railway system in Sweden. The system is developed in C# .Net and communicates with PMUs to collect phase angle data which is synced with GPS-data from different locations in Sweden. PLCs controls the power output and the optimization of phase angels at the electrical power plants providing the railway system.
Tech-lead, Sandvik 2008 Employee #3 was tech-lead to implement improvement methods, problem solving maintenance and support in a communication project in the production environment in the steel industry.
In this assignment Employee #3 was responsible of a team of five resources.
Upgrade centre for telecommunication products

Responsible for temporary upgrade centres in Bangladesh, Thailand and India during 2005 – 2006 and 2009.

 

The upgrade centre was upgrading from 50 – 200 units a day which was delivered from and to site in 24-hour turnaround. The upgrade was new components and software for the specific telecommunication equipment that was upgraded.

 

In the centre 10 – 20 local employees work under Employee #3 supervision.

The assignment included a pre-study, requirements, development, test and commissioning of a larger platform for testing. Employee #3 was project responsible regarding security solutions that handled permissions, administration and sign in etc.

Employee #3 was test lead in a project that verified a service based system and was responsible for planning, preparation and execution of the test project. He worked with the usability and requirement collection towards many different interfaces. The role also included to write test plans and test cases.
Productions IT-environment 2004 In this assignment Employee #3 analysed and was responsible for the development of solutions of performance enhancements of the customers control system in their production communication servers to maximize the total performance.
