Zusammenfassung
Shant Abraham has a MSc. in Automation and Mechatronics, and he would like to work within the Research
and Development department where he can combine theoretical methods with implementation and
verification.
Shant has the last two years (2018-03 - 2020-03) been working within V.A.S (Volvo Autonomous solutions)
where he was working with the VERA project at Volvo AB. The work itself was fun, challenging and actually
took him to a new level since the work itself contained sw development in a new ECU, which had to satisfy
other ECUs in the vehicle. The assignment consisted of function development in Simulink, integration work,
testing, updating dbc:s, and last but least getting the vehicle up and running which involved a lot of fault tracing and debugging.
It has been a privilege to work in such an assignment since it covered the understanding of the low level communication up to function
development.
Shant has also been working with different assignments within Zenuity and Volvo cars with sensor verification and autonomous drive
testing for one year, and also with prototype build vehicles for one year.
Shants first career step started with doing his master thesis at Volvo Cars in 2013. After that he started to work at Advanced
Technology and Research at AB Volvo, for two years, where he worked with lateral control development for both on-road and off-road
automated driving.
Shant has the passion for sport in different forms as gym, kayak and football, and he also spends free time with family and friends. He
likes to explore new places by travelling during the summer vacation.

I worked in a cross functional Sigma team towards the Volvo legacy project, DriveMe, at Zenuity. I was involved in a lot of testing and verification to ensure that the functions behave as
expected. I have also taken part of some object fusion development.
2016-05 - 2017-03
Worked in a team called vehicle build within the group of sensor verification. The main task was to support autonomous drive vehicles and make sure that the vehicles are up and running i.e.
the work consisted of; debugging, testing, programming Vector gateways, support with Simulink
models, update vehicle nodes, and radar calibration.
Tools: CAN/Ethernet/Flexray, Canalyzer, Matlab/Simulink, dSpace/Autobox, DSA, VIDA, JIRA,
Lotus Notes.
2014-02 - 2016-05
main work is developed in Matlab/Simulink, which was later on integrated in the vehicle to be
tested by using dSpace hardware/software.
The work at Volvo has evolved me as a person due to taking part in different kind of tasks such
as; making use cases which gives a great understanding of the system that will be developed,
developing functions in Matlab/Simulink, be part of function integration processes, and last but
not least do testing and analysis.
Tools: CAN/Ethernet, Canalyzer, Matlab/Simulink, dSpace/Autobox, xPC, GPS', ISO26262
2013-10 - 2016-04
Tools: Matlab/Simulink
2013-02 - 2013-07
The assignment consisted of designing and implementing a controller that handles the maneuver of the vehicle when reversing with a trailer.
Tools: Matlab/simulink, dSPACE, Autobox, Canalyzer, Ipetronik, potentiometer
2006-06 - 2012-05
The work included:
• Assemble the interior parts of the vehicle
• Do adjustment of the doors
• Assemble part in the engine compartment
