Industry: IT Services Developing new projects, implementing new features, maintaining existing products Projects Tracking management system Role: Full Stack Developer Duration: 1 year 4 months - current project Industry: Logistics Skills used: TypeScript, React, Golang, postgres, Elasticsearch, Docker, AWS In cooperation with the main originator of the project from the Netherlands we are working on creating a friendly ecosystem for tracking goods, shipments.
The idea is to have live access via a nice UI to tracked goods information with access to lots of useful information like temperature, pressure, speed and other.
The project started from scratch, over the past years overcoming many changes, corrections, shortcomings to start being a utility product and a product as a service.
Project challenges: The main challenge was to provide easy and quick access to trackers information. Simple and efficient ability to operate many thousands of devices that easily communicate with the user. For that, you also needed a clean UI with full authentication support.
The initial part of my tasks was to provide front-end solutions. New functionalities, providing software tests and continuous support. Due to some server experience and willingness to learn the GoLang language, I was entrusted with providing backend features, which step by step made most of my tasks in the project are focused on GoLang.
Result: The project has now passed the test phases, which were successful and was made publicly available to friendly companies that have started to actively use it and implement their own solutions using our public API.
